Chemical from Magnolia Tree Cone Suppresses Cancer Cell Signalling

An in-vitro culture study of human cancer cells shows that the chemical known as honokiol found in the Magnolia tree cone, an ingredient in traditional chinese medicine recipes, acts on several chemical pathways to suppress cancer cell proliferation.
